Founded in 1973 by Paul Allen and David McLaughlin, Advance Food Company started by providing hamburger patties and breaded beef to local grocers and restaurants in Oklahoma. Today, Advance Food Company operates nine manufacturing facilities in five states, a nationwide distribution network and sells internationally to Canada, Mexico, Germany, Japan and the Caribbean. Advance currently produces nearly 2200 center-of-the-plate products made from beef, pork, poultry, lamb and veal.

Advance Food Company is truly on a roll. We have been the beneficiary of several positive external factors: a great industry, excellent Customers and a very difficult operating environment, where only the committed and capable survive. At the same time we have been blessed with the most critical of internal resources: two thousand committed and capable employees. This scenario has allowed Advance to thrive at an average annual growth rate of approximately 20 percent over the past seventeen years!


Advance Food Company is driven to be successful, and success for us means taking care of Customers, respecting each other and treating suppliers, community stakeholders and competitors the way they expect to be treated. The importance of these simple values cannot be overstated. Advance Food Company’s 1990 revenues of $20 million have exploded to an annual rate of nearly $500 million in 2006. Our products are distributed each week in every state throughout the country, and we now offer four times as many SKUs to over six times as many Customers as we did fifteen years ago.


But the best is on its way. Leveraging off food safety expertise and our process know-how, we have broken ground on one of the industry’s largest capital projects in the “ready to eat” category in this century. Located next to our 230,000 square foot Distribution Center in Enid, Oklahoma, Advance Food Company’s $80 million fully cooked facility will be fully operational in 2007. This new plant will provide us with the latest equipment, food safety and process advantages that $80 million can buy.


While the Ready to Eat facility has the spotlight, we continue to be the leader in foodservice with several other product lines. We have substantial capacity to continue growing with our distributor and enduser Customers in the raw breaded and Philly steak product lines. We have also broadened our sales scope to include arrangements to supply products to certain National Account Customers. Advance Food Company’s “solutions” mentality distinguishes us from others, and it is the reason why our Customers and our People can expect Advance’s future results to mirror the successes of our past.
